Almost feels like a Knock-Off Stronghold game.Beginning in 1230 BC, The Warrior Queen Campaign brings to life the many conquests of renowned military leader Fu Hao. Sometimes so often in some missions that it's a test of patience and seeing if you can manage the amount of trash-tier meatshield spam you need and doing the actual objective. They just sit there as you wittle away at them and nonsensically spam armies that spawn in at the sides of the map at you. Of which the singleplayer missions are also rife with literally non-functional AI that just gets waves of units spawned in at the map edge and cant even be bothered to maintain an economy or repair their crumbling destroyed castle. The new "Warlord" thing is also a gimmick and largely an inconsequential nothing outside of handicapping player resources or otherwise locking the Win-Trigger in singleplayer behind controlling all of the Warlords. It also runs shockingly poorly for something that looks like it was unironically made in 2006. I suppose you can say it's playable unlike some previous Stronghold games that seemingly never left the Alpha Phase of development, I guess? But at the same time it seems prone to crashing without even giving an error popup. I can't even think of something it does well now that I'm trying to. it's just THAT sort of Thoroughly mediocre or just bad in all aspects. Thoroughly mediocre or just bad in all aspects.
